Announcement: New Avatar Music Video Contest 2008!

What are AMV's and what is this contest all about?
AMV is short for Anime Music Video.In this case it should be called " Avatar Music Video" because its a fan made A:TLA music video.An AMV contains sequined clips and popular music,that matches the video. An AMV could be like a commercial,or a music video found on MTV or Music Vids you find in the store. The AMV 2008 contest is where a number of submitted AMV’s compete for the title of ‘Best Avatar Destiny Portal 2008 AMV’. All rules and guidelines for submitting your own AMV to compete for the AMV competition are posted below.

Who is the organizing the competition?
Since this is the first competition,Keishakatara,the Admin and owner of ADP will be running it!When?
The contest will start today,September 22,2008 and all submissions will end October 31,2008! The Contest Winners....will be announced on Avatar Destiny Portal,November 10-11,2008!Who will be the judges of the AMV's?
THE JUDGES WILL EB THE VIEWERS!WE WILL LEAVE REVIEWS ON THE SITE AND ALLOW A VOTING PANEL,SO YEAH!How can I create and submit my own AMV?
Creating AMV's requires a lot of technical skills.It can not be mastered right away,but in the time given,it will and can be mastered. AMV's take up a lot of time and needs a lot of effort into it,to make it turn out good.There are some rules and restrictions,that you have to take into account.How can I make my own AMV?

This years theme is a high action music video,with lots of emotion,rock music preferred,if its a really emotional pop song or somewhat,thats fine.Just think about meaning,and giving the viewer a thought,something to remember after he/she finishes watching the vid. Clips
This contest is an AVATAR music video contest!This means there shall be only AVATAR clips involved! No parodies please.If you get some ideas from movie trailers,thats fine!If your using images,or a comic instead of clips.Thats totally fine,and truly interesting.If your using a comic,it has to be by you and only you,unless you give credit back tot he creator.
AUDIO
This is tough one.It shouldn't be,but it is!
We did mention that you should have ROCK/INDIE/PUNK/EMO/HORROR ETC. Music.We are allowing good pop songs and if its a rap or hip-hop thats fine.JUST THINK ABOUT EMOTION....and what keishakatara likes to think of it,destiny! Something that leads to something else,something never ending,something that leaves the viewer in awe!Something with emotion,feeling,charisma,romance...etc.
Make sure the audio matches the clips and the clips matches the audio,we don't mean by this,each word for each clips being alike,we mean the rhythm and if so,lyrics.You may use trailer music to,yes,thats really good,trailer music has an awesome effect.If using that,we suggest Es.Pothusmus and Requiem for Dream,for good trailer audio! :D!
Graphical Content
ABSOLUTELY NO PORN.Though we doubt A:TLA has any porn,but images and comics, please no!This is a friendly competition,kids probably under the age of 13 may be involved.We welcome all!!
No strong violence,if someone dies,what the heck,go on with it,but please no blood,gore etc.

AvatarDestinyPortal is a new site it hasn't been around for a while. This website used to be AvatarTemples, but because of an unfortunate event, it had to be shut down. Now recent events have allowed me to reopen a new site with an all new template to the general public.
